Indication & Dosage: Cetuxim (Cetuximab) generic ERBITUX is a prescription medicine used to treat specific types of colorectal and head and neck cancers. Cetuximab targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), inhibiting the binding of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and other ligands. This action prevents receptor phosphorylation and activation, leading to inhibited cell growth, induced apoptosis, and reduced production of matrix metalloproteinases and vascular EGF. Cetuximab is a man-made protein (monoclonal antibody). Cetuxim manufactured by Beacon Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh.
