Indication & Dosage: Luciviga (Vigabatrin), generic Sabril is a prescription medicine used to treat adjunctive therapy for seizures in patients aged 2 years and older who have not responded satisfactorily to multiple alternative treatments. Vigabatrin reduces seizure frequency in both adults and children who have failed to achieve seizure control with prior therapies. Acting as an anticonvulsant, Vigabatrin is believed to function by inhibiting the breakdown of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a natural calming neurotransmitter in the brain.
