Indication & Dosage: Amdocal (Amlodipine Besilate), generic Norvasc is a prescription medicine used to treat treatment of hypertension and angina pectoris. Amlodipine Besilate exerts its effects on myocardial cells, the specialized conducting system of the heart, and vascular smooth muscle cells. The primary action of Amlodipine is vasodilation, which leads to reduced peripheral resistance, lower blood pressure, and decreased afterload. Amlodipine Besilate enhances coronary blood flow and induces a reflexive increase in coronary heart rate. These effects collectively improve myocardial oxygen supply and cardiac output. Amlodipine Besilate works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. Amdocal manufactured by Beximco Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh. Amlodipine has to take orally once daily with or without food as directed by patients doctor.
