Indication & Dosage: Alkenib (Lapatinib), generic Tykerb is a prescription medicine used to treat human epidermal growth factor receptor type 2 (HER2) positive advanced or metastatic breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and who have already been treated with other chemotherapy medications including anthracycline, taxane, and trastuzumab (Herceptin). Alkenib manufactured by Jenphar Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh. Lapatinib has to take orally once daily on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before or 1 hours after a meal. Side Effects: The most common adverse reactions of Lapatinib are: Nausea , vomiting , upset stomach , mouth sores , mild rash , dry skin, and trouble sleeping.
