Indication & Dosage: MARZEV (Omarigliptin), generic Marizev is a prescription medicine used to treat of type 2 diabetes mellitis in adults. It is an oral antidiabetic agent from the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor class. Omarigliptin works by increasing endogenous incretin hormone levels, thereby enhancing glucose-dependent insulin secretion and reducing hepatic glucose production. It is used to improve glycemic control, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents, in conjunction with appropriate diet and exercise. Omarigliptin is not indicated for the treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitis or diabetic ketoacidosis. MARZEV manufactured by ACI Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh. Omarigliptin has to take orally once-weekly with or without food. Side Effects: The most common side effects are: Abdominal pain, severe nausea, or vomiting.
