Indication & Dosage: Macietan (Macitentan), generic OPSUMIT is a prescription medicine used to treat of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a condition characterized by elevated blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs. This elevation is believed to be associated with increased levels of endothelin-1, a naturally occurring substance that causes blood vessels to constrict. Macitentan works by blocking the effects of endothelin-1, leading to the relaxation of blood vessels in the lungs. This helps lower pulmonary blood pressure, alleviate symptoms, and reduce the likelihood of disease progression and hospitalization. Macietan manufactured by TLPH pharma Ltd. in Laos. Macitentan has to take orally once daily with or without food as directed by patient’s doctor.
