Indication & Dosage: Ifomes (Mesna), generic Mesnex is a prescription medicine used to treat prophylactic agent for preventing urothelial toxicity and hemorrhagic cystitis associated with ifosfamide and high-dose cyclophosphamide. Mesna mitigates the risk of bladder bleeding, a serious side effect of ifosfamide chemotherapy. Mesna protects the bladder lining by neutralizing harmful metabolites generated during the metabolism of ifosfamide, while preserving the drug's anti-cancer properties. Ifomes manufactured by Beacon Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh. Mesna is given by injection into a vein by a healthcare professional.
