Fluphenazine decanoate is a long-acting form of fluphenazine. Fluphenazine decanoate may be used by people who have trouble remembering to take medication every day. Fluphenazine belongs to a class of drugs known as antipsychotics. Fluphenazine decanoate works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain.This medication is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. Flupagen is manufactured by General Pharmaceuticals Ltd. In Bangladesh. Fluphenazine Decanoate is given by injection into a muscle or under the skin by a healthcare professional. Fluphenazine Decanoate is given as directed by patient’s doctor, usually every 4 to 6 weeks. The dosage is based on patient’s medical condition and response to treatment.
