Nifedipine may allow you to exercise more and decrease the frequency of angina attacks. Nifedipine belongs to a class of medications known as calcium channel blockers. Nifedipine works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. Nifedipine must be taken regularly to be effective. Adalat Crono manufactured by Bayer Pharma Ltd. in Germany. Nifedipine has to take orally 3 times daily with or without food.
