ZEMPLAR (PARICALCITOL), generic is a prescription medicine used to treat secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), particularly in stages 3, 4, and 5, including those undergoing dialysis. It works as a vitamin D analog to help reduce elevated parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels and supports the regulation of calcium and phosphate balance in the body. This helps prevent complications associated with abnormal bone and mineral metabolism in CKD patients. ZEMPLAR manufactured by Abbvie pharma Ltd. In USA. Paricalcitol has to take once daily or 3 times weekly with or without food.
