Indication & Dosage: Oseflu (Oseltamivir), generic Tamiflu is a prescription medicine used to treat of flu virus (influenza) in adults and adolescents aged 13 years and older who have been exposed to an infected person: treatment of influenza in adults and children over one year of age during influenza season. Oseltamivir reduces the severity and duration of symptoms (such as nasal congestion, cough, sore throat, fever/chills, body aches, fatigue) by 1-2 days. Oseltamivir can also be used for influenza prophylaxis if you are at risk of infection (such as a household contact) or if there is an influenza epidemic in your area. Oseltamivir inhibits the growth of the influenza virus. It does not replace the influenza vaccine. Oseflu manufactured by Bximco Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh. Oseltamivir has to take by mouth usually twice a day for 5 days or usually once a day for at least 10 days with or without food. Side Effects: The most common adverse reactions of Oseltamivir are: Rash , itching/swelling ( especially of the face/tongue/throat ), severe dizziness , trouble breathing , nausea and vomiting .
