ORENCIA (ABATACEPT), is a prescription medication used to treat autoimmune diseases such as moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis. It works by selectively modulating the immune response through inhibition of T-cell activation, thereby reducing inflammation, joint damage, and other symptoms associated with these chronic inflammatory conditions. Abatacept is administered by a healthcare professional as an intravenous infusion over approximately 30 minutes, initially at weeks 0, 2, and 4, followed by maintenance doses every 4 weeks thereafter.

ORENCIA side effects

The most common adverse reactions are: Headache, nausea, cough, dizziness, and mild injection site reactions such as redness, itching, or pain.
