Megestrol acetate is also indicated in male or female patients for the treatment of anorexia, cachexia or weight loss secondary to metastatic cancer. By enhancing appetite and weight gain, megestrol acetate may improve your well-being and activity level. Megestrol acetate is a synthetic analogue of progesterone, a natural hormone produced by the body. Mezest manufactured by Beacon Pharma Ltd. in Bangladesh. Megestrol acetate has to take orally as directed by patient’s doctor.

Mezest side effects

The most common side effects of Megestrol Acetate are: Trouble sleeping, fever, gas, decreased sexual ability/desire, weight gain, changes in appetite, or upset stomach.
