Liftear uses and dosage
Liftear (Lifitegrast), generic Xiidra is a prescription medicine used to treat dry eye disease (keratoconjunctivitis sicca). Lifitegrast acts as a lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) antagonist, mitigating inflammation by inhibiting the interaction between LFA-1 and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1). In severe disease, drops may be used hourly, being tapered to discontinuation as the inflammation subsides. In mild disease, drops may be used up to two times daily.
