Indication & Dosage: Impavido (Miltefosine) is a prescription medicine used to treat cutaneous leishmaniasis (affecting the skin), mucosal leishmaniasis (affecting the nose, mouth and throat), in addition to visceral leishmaniasis (affecting the internal organs). Miltefosine is an anti-parasitic drug used to treat leishmaniasis, a disease caused by an infection with parasites that enter the body through the bite of an infected sand fly. Impavido manufactured by Profounda Pharma. Miltefosine has to take orally usually two or three times daily with food. Side Effects: The most common side effects of Miltefosine are: Vomiting , diarrhea , stomach/abdominal pain, joint pain, nausea , dizziness , or drowsiness.
