Glymin XR (METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE), Generic Glucophage is a prescription medicine used to treat proper diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE also works for controlling high blood sugar which helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems.
