Gliclid MR (Gliclazide), generic Diamicron is a prescription medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes. Gliclazide belongs to a class of drugs known as sulfonylureas, which work by stimulating the pancreas to produce more insulin. This increased insulin production helps to reduce blood glucose levels.
