Emletra (Lopinavir+Ritonavir), generic Kaletra is a prescription medicine used to treat human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) infection (a condition that occurs when the virus attacks the immune system and interferes with patient’s body's ability to fight infections or diseases). HIV is the virus that causes AIDS & Lopinavir/ Ritonavir tablet will not cure HIV infection, but Lopinavir/ Ritonavir will delay the progression of a chronic, potentially life-threatening condition known as AIDS and other HIV-related conditions. Lopinavir+Ritonavir has to take orally usually once or twice daily with or without food.

Emletra side effects

The most common side effects of Lopinavir+Ritonavir are: diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, stomach pain, constipation, indigestion, rash, itching, blurred vision, fever, dizziness, redness of the skin especially on the face and neck, headache, sweating, weight loss, confusion, sleepiness or unusual drowsiness, mood or mental changes.
